Ison, Mr. Steven Blaze -

Morrison - A celebration of life ceremony for Steven Blaze Ison, age 44 of Morrison, will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Father Stephen A. Klasek officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mr. Ison passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.  He was born July 19, 1964 in South Bend, Indiana the son of Irene and Wayne Ison of Morrison.  He graduated from Central High School where he was active in the theater having performed in Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, Oklahoma the Musical.  He continued with his love for the theater and the arts having performed at the Manchester Arts Center, the South Jackson Civic Center and the Cannon County Playhouse.  He was a Thespian.  He was awarded a three month apprenticeship at the Cumberland County Playhouse, where he performed and learned all the duties of the theater.  He was employed with Manchester Liquors for over 20 years where he was loved by many customers and friends.  Steven€™s gentle nature was reflected in the wild violets he hand picked for his mother the first of every season. In addition to his parents, Irene and Wayne of Morrison, he is survived by a sister, Gina Tinsley and husband Ron of Manchester,  brothers, Mike Switalski and wife, Lisa of Mishawaka, IN and John Switalski and wife, Cathy of White Pidgeon, Michigan, aunts and uncles, Gene & Carol Trzybinski, Val & Ben Sobecki, Marie & Ron Gerencher all of South Bend, IN and twin aunts, Janie Slock of South Bend, IN and Joanie Trzybinski of Mishawaka, IN, Jim Ison of Traverse City, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews and best friend from high school and co-worker of over 30 years, Reffer Meadows of Manchester. The family requests memorials be made to The Potter€™s Clay of St. Mark€™s Catholic Church. Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
