Christian, Mr. Vaughn Worth -

Manchester - Memorial services for Mr. Vaughn Worth Christian, age 89 of Manchester, will be conducted Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Allen Jackson officiating services at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the Christian family will be Sunday from 1:00 until time of service at 3:00 PM. Mr. Christian passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009.Mr. Vaughn Christian was born February 5, 1920 in Warren County to the late Doyle and Kate Bonner Christian. In earlier years, Mr. Christian worked at AEDC as a supervisor in the Wind Tunnel Department. He served in World War II in the Navy and Merchant Marines. He was a Mason and loved gardening. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother, Miles Christian.His survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Rachel Christian of Manchester; two sons, Rod (Teri) Christian of Manchester, Fletcher (Deborah) Christian of Crawfordville, FL; four daughters, Susie (Dr. John) Lee of Murfreesboro, Sandra (Vernon) Miller of Belvidere, TN, Sonia (Dr. David) Sain of Murfreesboro, Charlotte Christian of Groveland, FL; one brother, Brantley €œBuck€? (Christelle) Christian of FL; grandchildren, Rachel (Robert) Bruner of Chattanooga, Brad (Krystal) Christian of Manchester, Alex Christian and fiancé Tristan Springate of Manchester, Chris (Gretchen) Leming of Spring Hill, TN, Captains (USMC) Ben and Sarah Leming of Annapolis, Maryland, Shawnya (Michael) Black of Murfreesboro, Holly (Christian) Pearson of Murfreesboro, Dr. Jessica (Jeff) Leech of Memphis, Taylor and Nikki Christian, both of Crawfordville, FL; great-grandchildren, Sam and Alex Bruner, Georgia, Kyle, and Jacob Leming, Connor and Ava Black, Zac and Madison Pearson, and two more great-grandchildren on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Heart Association.COFFEE COUNTY FUNERAL CHAPEL IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
