Manchester - Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Willis Whiteaker, age 83 of Manchester, will be conducted Saturday morning, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Barron officiating services. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, July 10 from 5 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Whiteaker passed away July 8 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville.Mrs. Whiteaker was born November 28, 1925 in Hillsboro, TN to the late Blanton and Dena Sain Willis. In earlier years, she was an avid bowler, and started her work career in Camp Forest. She retired from Pan-Am after 31 years of service at AEDC. She was a member of the garden club, and First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband Charles Edward O’Neal, and former husband Ben Whiteaker; and two sisters, Anna Jean Cunningham, and Nell Jernigan.Her surviors include her son, Charles W. O’Neal of Murfreesboro; sister, Bobbye Miller of Manchester, sister in law, Katherine Gilliam of Manchester, grandchildren, Jody and Michael Wrather of Murfreesboro, Justin and Sara O’Neal of San Antonio, TX; four great-grandchildren, Harrison, Sumner, and Katie Wrather and Morgan O’Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
