Manchester - Graveside services for Mrs. Muriel Alice Ketcham, age 84, will be conducted Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 4:30 PM from Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Lewis A. Groce officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 until time of services. A memorial service will also be conducted Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Ketcham passed away Friday evening at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. She was born July 23, 1924 in Queens County, New York the daughter of the late Harry Rode and Muriel Kautter Rode. She was employed in earlier years in several fields as an administrative assistant. She met the love of her life, Albert M. Ketcham over 60 years ago in New York. They married and started their family which consisted of two beautiful daughters. In later years, they retired to Sag Harbor, NY where they resided until moving to Manchester ten years ago. Mrs. Ketcham was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tullahoma where she and her husband both loved playing the Handbells. She also loved playing dominos.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Albert M. Ketcham of Manchester, two daughters and sons-in-law, Elise Farris and husband, Herman of Manchester and Elaine Ketcham Caltrider and husband Lou of Cary, North Carolina, grandchildren, Jason Laxson and wife, Tiffany, Becky Shelton and husband, Glenn, Karen Gold and husband, Phil and Jessee Farris, Eric Horton and wife Mojan and Bryan Horton and fiancée Lindsey Ungerwitter, great-grandchildren, Kristen, Alexandria and Emily Shelton, Brandy and Hunter Gold and Kamyar Horton. Also surviving is a sister, Doris Holm of Sag Harbor, New York and a niece, Sandi Gregory and husband, Jimmy of South Hampton, NY and nephew, Ray Holm and wife, Joyce of Floral Park, NY.
