Manchester - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Beatrice Mahaffa Carr, age 82 of Manchester will be conducted Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Brother Ralph Hart officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Carr passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
She was born May 10, 1928 in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late Willie Harris “W.H.” Mahaffa and Della Pearl Gullett Mahaffa. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening and was an avid quilter. She dearly loved the Lord, her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Mahaffa.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Robert H. Carr; five children, Kenneth Carr and wife Melba; Brenda Ervin and husband Kent, Diane Wampler and husband, Joe; David Carr and Kelvin Carr; seven grandchildren, Andra, Lynn, Cindy, Sherry, Shaun, Kristi, Logan and two step-grandchildren, Anthony and Autumn; several great-grandchildren, and
many loving friends and other relatives. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Carr’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692
