Jackson - Memorial services for Everett Allen McKenzie age 77 of Jackson, Michigan will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin Friday, May 6, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Mr. McKenzie passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Mr. McKenzie was born October 3, 1933 in Bedford County, Tennessee the son of the late Robert Evans McKenzie and Irene Harden McKenzie. He was raised in the New Union community in Coffee County and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Carl McKenzie; and a niece, Peggy Lei McKenzie Jones.
Survivors include one brother, Bobby McKenzie and wife, Sherry of Clifton, Virginia; and sister-in-law, Betty McKenzie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
