Holmes, Stephen Dallas -
Manchester - Graveside services for Mr. Stephen Dallas Holmes, age 90 of Manchester, TN will be conducted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shady Grove Cemetery with Brother Ralph Hart officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to services Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:15 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Holmes passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 in Murfreesboro.
He was born September 16, 1920 in Coffee County, the son of the late Sandy Dallas Holmes and Barbara Lewis Holmes. He was a retired engineer with L & N Railroad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Mitchell Holmes and a sister, Parmys Bridenbach.
Survivors include his loving wife of 11 years, Margoline McMahan Holmes; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen D. Holmes, Jr., and Juanita Holmes; granddaughter, Tracy Holmes Dalton; a brother, Armand C.
