Snellville - Funeral services for Mr. Daniel T. Dean, age 84, will be conducted Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Bobby Beal officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Dean family will be Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Dean passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his son’s residence in Snellville, GA. He was born March 15, 1927, in Estill Springs, TN, the son of the late Charles A. and Nancy K. Tuck Dean. Mr. Dean was a U S Army veteran and had lived in the Manchester, TN area for approximately 30 years. He was employed by the Coffee County School System as a Bus Mechanic. He was also the pastor at the Church of God in Huntland, TN. In 2004, he and his late wife Silvia Nicholas Dean relocated to Lebanon, TN. Mr. Dean enjoyed woodworking, bowling, cooking and watching old western movie and TV classics.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Dean was preceded in death by two sisters Audra Boguske and Mary Crump.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Dean and wife Lenora of Snellville, GA and Deborah Brewington and husband Michael of Lebanon, TN; one brother, Willis Charles Dean of TN; two sisters: Irene Uselton of Hillsboro and Georgia Reed of Manchester; four grandchildren: Ronnie C. Dean, Leslie Surowiec, Daniel Michael Brewington and Whitney Brewington and four great grandchildren.
