Manchester - Funeral services for Mr. Gordon Pratt, age 76 of Manchester, will be conducted Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Neal Glass officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 25 from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Pratt passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his home in Manchester.
Mr. Gordon Pratt was born October 7, 1935 in Wayne Co., West Virginia, the son of the late Earl and Hazel Belva Osborn Pratt. He was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and was retired from AEDC. Mr. Pratt was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manchester. He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by one sister, Jewel Rife.
Mr. Pratt is survived by his wife, Kay Pratt of Manchester; two daughters, Melanie Anne Pratt of Manchester and Lora Katherine Pratt Umbarger and her husband Mitch of Manchester; two brothers, Roy Pratt and his wife Doris and Larry Pratt and his wife Donnetta, both of Wayne, WV; three sisters, Mary Jones and her husband Roger and Darlene Watts and her husband Larry, both of Wayne, WV and Caroline Pyles and her husband Norman of Pennsylvania; and one grandson, Caleb Allen Umbarger of Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 201 West Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN. 37388 or the First United Methodist Church, 105 N. Church Street, Manchester, TN 37355.
