Manchester - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jewel Poff, age 85 of Manchester, will be conducted at 3:30 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Poff passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Poff was born May 15, 1926 in Manchester. She enjoyed helping her husband on the farm, traveling, dancing, listening to music, and trying new things. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with them.
Mrs. Poff is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lizzie (Burton) Williams; husband, who was a former Chief of Police in Manchester, Glen Poff; one daughter, Dorothy Walden; four sisters; and two brothers.
Her survivors include son, Don Poff of Manchester; daughter, Linda Conlee of Manchester; six grandchildren, Cathy (Mark) Gesell, Sandy Green, Tracy (Terry) Hullett, Jamie (Amber) Conlee, all of Manchester, and Houston and Erica Poff of Elkhart, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
