Lynch, Norman Wayne January 24, 1933 - January 18, 2012

Manchester - Funeral services for Mr. Norman Wayne Lynch, age 78 of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Donald Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Lynch Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Lynch passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was born January 24, 1933in Coffee County, TN. He retired from Tennessee Valley Authority where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator. In earlier years, he enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and riding his tractor. One of his favorite past times was watching old western movies on television and going for long walks with his beloved faithful companion, Buddy. He was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha and two brothers, Milton and Ray Lynch and a sister, Ruby Cathey. Survivors include his loving wife of 12 years, Betty Lynch of Manchester; daughter, Sherry Teal and husband, Robert of Manchester and son, Chris Lynch and wife, JoAnne also of Manchester; step-daughters, Charlotte Matheny and husband, Chris of Knoxville and Lorena Jones and husband, David of Normandy; grandson, Ryan Smith of Manchester; four step-grandchildren, Heather (James) Wilson, Jessica (Jamie) Tidrick, Amanda (Matt) Jernigan and Elijah Gober; step-great grandchildren, Addison Willson, Trey Tidrick, Kaitlyn Grace Jernigan, Hailey Marie Jernigan and Cadyen Jernigan. Also surviving is a sister, Katheryn Davis also of Manchester.
