Fontaine, Aerial Dawne -
Manchester - A Celebration of Life Gathering for Ms. Aerial Dawne Fontaine, age 65 of Manchester will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Those attending are encouraged to wear bright, happy colors to honor and celebrate Dawne’s beautifully diverse life. Dawne departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born September 22, 1946 in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada the daughter of the late Leon Fontaine and Hilda Jardy Fontaine. Dawne grew up in Canada and then moved to the US where she became a US citizen and joined the Navy. Among her many accomplishments, she worked for the US Government, a publisher and spent much of her time traveling the world promoting books of healing and spirituality. She was known as a loving, giving person who enjoyed helping others. She was active in several BWA (Battered Women’s Alternative) groups and other similar organizations. She was passionate about all types of music and enjoyed puzzles. In recent years, she and her daughter were owner/operators of “Broadway Video” in Manchester and she has been employed as a bus driver with Coffee County School System for over 7 years. Dawne was known by family and friends to have lived life to the fullest each moment.
She is survived by four loving children, son, Brian Maxwell of Chicago, IL; Tammy Brown and husband, Tony; Tracy Elliott and husband, Todd; and Denise Davis and husband, Brian all of Manchester, TN; seven grandchildren, Leisa Maxwell; Candy Caldwell and husband, Jake; Gary Max Elliott, II; Kevin Davis, Keith Davis, Kyler Davis and Arielle Davis; four great-grandchildren, Ruby Maxwell, Crystal Barton, Lance Graves and Sara Maxwell. Also surviving are two sisters, Gail Tieman of CA and Joyce Prestwich of Fort St. John, Canada and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.Coffee County Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the family of Aerial Dawne Fontaine.
