Manchester - Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Rowena Grizzle Cunningham, age 80 of Manchester will be conducted Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Kidder officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Cunningham passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at her residence in Manchester. She was born December 16, 1931 in Duck Town, TN the daughter of the late Edward and Norma Cheatham Grizzle. Mrs. Cunningham enjoyed flower gardening. She was retired from the Coffee County Medical Center after working many years in the Housekeeping Department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Landy Thomas Cunningham; one son, Fred Cunningham; one daughter, Norma Jean Cunningham; and five sisters, Jeanette Powell, Shirley Maritello, Lucille Mettisa, and Katherine and Vera Grizzle.
Survivors include one son, David Cunningham and his wife, Lucretia of Manchester; one daughter, Patsy Phillips of Neoga, Illinois; five grandchildren, Lance, Mike and Stacy Phillips, Dorothy Presley and her husband, Sean and Rose Cunningham and 6 great grandchildren.
