Manchester - Funeral services for Jerry Lynn, 68, of Manchester will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the chapel of Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Daniel and Bro. Marvin Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Lynn passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his residence in Manchester.
Mr. Lynn was born August 9, 1943 in Manchester, TN. He was the son of the late Malcolm and Bertha Crosslin Lynn. Mr. Lynn was a A1C US Air Force veteran. He retired from AEDC where he had worked as a test coordinator. He was a member of Forest Mill Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. He was an active member of the Gideons ministry. He enjoyed working with electronics, watching UT football and spending time with his grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Lynn Abbott and one sister, Peggy Nash.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Lynn of Manchester; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Capps and her husband, Bryan of Murfreesboro; one sister, Dorothy Stone of Constantine, Michigan; and four grandchildren, Jessica and Julia Abbott of Winchester and Micaiah and Dalton Capps of Murfreesboro. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Heartfelt Gospel Music Association, 167 Murphy Road, Manchester, TN. 37355
