Brentwood - Funeral services for Noel Lyman Evans, age 70 of Brentwood, TN will be conducted Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Reverend Gerald Richardson and Reverend Wendell Trussell officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Evans passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.He was the son of Clyde and Mozelle Evans of Manchester, TN and was preceded in death by parents, sisters, Marilyn Lewis, Janet Batson, and Eleanor Hunt. Noel was a graduate of Manchester Central High School class of ’59 and TN Tech University. He retired after 37 years of outstanding service with the TN Dept. of Transportation in Research and Development. He will be remembered as a gentle, loving and caring family man.He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Pattye Jones Evans; son Paul Evans (Jeri Evans); precious granddaughter, Caitlin Noel Evans and son Ben Evans. He is also survived by his brother, Alden Evans (Millie Evans); sister, Claudette Cunningham (Jimmy Cunningham); brother-in-law, Lane Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.Online condolences may be made at www.coffeecountyfuneralchapel.com
