Manchester - Funeral services for Paul “Bill” William Rowe Jr., age 74, of Manchester will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the chapel of Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Rowe passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Rowe was born October 6, 1937 in Pharoah’s Run, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Paul William Rowe Sr. and the late Cora Maude Rice Rowe. He retired from the U S Marine Corp. after serving 28 years. He was a decorated Master Sgt. and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood carving and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Hawkins Rowe and his twin sister, Pauline Tindell. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Pike King Rowe of Manchester; two sons, Robert Rowe of New Orleans, LA. and Roy King and his wife, Melissa of Altamont, TN.; two daughters, Lillian Whitlow and her husband, Neal of LaVergne, TN. and Sherry Krickel of McMinnville, TN.; two sisters, Patricia Johnson of Cambridge, Ohio and Peggy Sue Burnsworth and her husband, Doug of Bridgeport, West Virginia; six grandchildren, Christina Rowe, Morgan Whitlow, Charles Krickel, Corteney Krickel, Chase King and Briley King and several nieces and nephews.
