Beam Keaton, Clara Mae -

Manchester - Funeral Services for Mrs. Clara Mae Trail Beam Keaton, age 93, will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Albert Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Keaton passed away Wednesday, March 21, at the Manchester Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Keaton was born August 23, 1918 in Beechgrove, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Charley “C D” Dee and Mary Ida Floyd Trail. Mrs. Keaton had managed the Manchester City Café and the Forrest Hotel in Manchester in addition to having worked as a Seamstress at PCA. While married to her second husband, Charles P. Beam, the two of them traveled extensively throughout the United States for his job as a Welder. They lived in St. Louis, MO for a time while he worked on the Arch. In later years, she worked at the Manchester Wal-Mart as a Greeter. She lived at Kingwood Arms for many years and enjoyed the activities there including playing pool. She was active in the Senior Citizens organization and enjoyed quilting, playing cards and working in her flower garden. She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church of Manchester.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles William Hittson, Charles P. Beam and Ural “Buster” Nolan Keaton; three brothers, William, Ezra and George Trail; two sisters, Lela Ruth Trail and Leona Eaton Wiser; step-son Charles P. Beam Jr. and son-in-law J. C. Clouse.
Mrs. Keaton is survived by her daughter Mary Jane Hittson Clouse of Manchester; step-son, Mickey Keaton and his wife, Debbie of Joelton, TN.; two grandchildren, Barbara Gail Clouse Gunter and her husband, Johnny of Morrison and Gary Lee Clouse and his wife, Munira of Nashville; five great grandchildren, Travis Gunter and his wife, Heather of Morrison, Crystal Gunter of Manchester, Nicolas and Chris Clouse of Nashville, and Amanda Randolph and her husband, Brad of Nashville; and three great great grandchildren, Kinsy Nicole Gunter and Caleb and Noah Randolph.
