Manchester - Funeral services for Doug Bryant, age 80, of Manchester will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM from Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Forrester, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.Mr. Bryant passed away Friday evening at the Medical Center of Manchester after an extended illness. He was born May 19, 1928 in Coffee County the son of the late Waldon and Minerva Bradshaw Bryan. In earlier years, he was employed in maintenance at Motlow. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ed Bryan.Survivors include his wife, Fannie M. Bryant of Manchester, a son, Paul Douglas Bryant and wife, Patsy of Tullahoma, two grandchildren, Brandy (Kevin) Smith and Josh (Natasha) Bryant and a great-grandson, Nathan Smith all of Tullahoma; step-daughter, Melody Sousa and husband, Al of Seminole, FL and 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Stanley Bryan of Manchester and a sister, Mary Frances Helton of Texas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family requests donations be made to Tullahoma First Assembly of God, 1105 West Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
