Manchester - Funeral services for Juanita Vickers, age 83 of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Winfred Teal officiating. Burial to follow in Farrar Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the Vickers family will be Friday, September 12 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Juanita passed away Tuesday, September 9 at United Regional Medical Center.Juanita was born November 20, 1924 in Woodbury, TN to the late Nute and Maggie More Whittemore. Ms. Vickers enjoyed quilting, cooking, babysitting, and was an avid animal lover. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Vickers, two sisters, Georgie Judkins and Martha Jean Duke, and one son-in-law, Jerry Henley.Her survivors include one son, David (Cindee) Vickers, three daughters Deb Vickers, Linda (Jerry) Johnson, and Donna Henley, all of Manchester; one brother, Jessie Whittemore of Manchester, two sisters, Lucy Volner and Willie Mae Holden, both of Manchester; four grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
