Morrison - Mrs. Nancy S. Houser, age 93 of Morrison, Tennessee passed from this life Friday, January 18, 2013 at NHC Health Care, McMinnville, Ten-nessee. Private Memo-rial Services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Houser was born Febru-ary 11, 1919 in Mid-dletown, New York the daughter of the late John D. Stivers and Louise Greene Stivers. Her father was a New York State Senator for many years as well as owner and operator of the Middletown Times Herald newspaper. Mrs. Houser was a retired Federal Civil Service worker. She served in this capacity for thirty-seven years. Mrs. Houser was an avid reader and also enjoyed crocheting and bird watching. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Houser was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Louise Stivers Spar and one brother, Moses Dunning Stivers. Mrs. Houser is survived by one son, March H. Houser and his wife, Carol A. Houser of Mor-rison; two grandchildren, Christine L. Allen and husband Charles Allen, Morrison, TN, Eric D. Houser and wife Vinita Houser of St. Peters-burg, Florida, five great grandchildren, Rebecca, Allison, Sarah, Stepha-nie, and Kiran, four great-great grandchil-dren, Russell, Mason, Jasmine, and Jackson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Coffee County Humane Society, P. O. Box 252 Manchester, TN 37349.
