Tullahoma - Funeral services for Mr. Billy Sam Bennett, age 74, of Tullahoma will be conducted Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Reverend W. Garie Taylor and Pastor Nan Zoller officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Bennett passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on November 30, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Willie Fate Bennett and Nell Ruth Cox Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a Mason and a member of #214 Highland Lodge in Manchester. He was a member of the 212 Transportation Heavy Truck Company in the Army Reserve. He was a manager for Production Credit Association in Lincoln County, and he worked for the Tennessee State Highway Department and many different welding suppliers. He retired from Trinidad/Benham in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Bennett loved to fish and was an amazing storyteller. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Matthew Fate Bennett.He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Bennett of Tullahoma; a daughter, Kelle Bradshaw and husband, Ronnie of Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren, Devin and Abby Bradshaw.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any U.S. Military help organization of your choice.Online condolences may be made to www.coffeecountyfuneralchapel.com
