Tullahoma - Mrs. Ethel G. Williams Matlock, age 89, of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at her residence. Ethel was widowed by Carl Williams and Fred Matlock. Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death her parents, William Clancy and Margaret Gertrude Long Martin, by a son Bradley Ray Hunsaker, sister, Lillian Draggoo, brother, William Wesley Martin, grandson, Tommy Hunsaker, and great granddaughter, Emberly Lynn Petty. She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Dean Hunsaker and husband John Beck of Palmdale, California, Carla Kay Williams of Tullahoma, Debra Williams Prince and husband Bruce of Winchester, Dana Carol Williams of Tullahoma, four sons, Wayne Spence and wife Jeannie of Salem, Oregon, William Lee Hunsaker and wife Karen of Lancaster, California, Robert O’neal Hunsaker and wife Linda of Mesquite, Nevada, Buddy Eugene Hunsaker of Paso Robles, California, brother-n-law, Robert Draggoo, eighteen grandchildren, and a large family of great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ethel Williams Matlock was a loving and devoted mother to her nine children. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville. Mrs. Ethel loved attending church and singing in the church choir. She was a strong woman with a devout faith who taught her children to love and trust the Lord. Ethel was a seamstress as well as working outside the home and made it a priority to teach the basics of life to her family and loved ones. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. Her family and the Lord were her life. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethel Williams Matlock will be conducted on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Jimmy Tedder officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilley Hill Cemetery, Cannon County. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
