Morrison - Funeral services for Mr. Charles Herman Henegar, affectionately known as “Chuck”, age 49, of Morrison, will be conducted Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Alan Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Henegar passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Herman Henegar, maternal grandparents, Thomas and Lola Mae Johnson, paternal grandparents, B.F. and Alta Henegar, and a niece, Amelia Grace Henegar.
Mr. Henegar was born in Putnam County, Tennessee and graduated from Coffee County Central High School in 1982. He furthered his education and graduated from Motlow Community College. Mr. Henegar was an avid reader, fascinated with the Civil War Era and American History. Never meeting a stranger, Mr. Henegar was a people person and enjoyed talking with strangers that quickly became friends. One of his favorite activities was attending the Renaissance Festival. Hunting and fishing were also favorite past times. He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ.
Mr. Henegar is survived by his loving mother, Juanita Henegar of Morrison and brother, Rick Henegar and wife, Trisha L. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 – 1942.
