Maymie Louise  Holder

Hillsboro - Funeral services for Mrs. Maymie Holder, age 83, of Hillsboro, TN will be conducted Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother David Kidder officiating. Interment will follow at Manchester City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Holder passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 22, 2014.
She was born July 10, 1931 in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late Charles Langford Jerningan and Bessie Qualls Jernigan. She enjoyed reading and loved both her flower gardens and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed watching each of these gardens grow and liked checking to see if the vegetables were ready to be picked and shared. She was a wonderful cook who excelled at being a loving and devoted homemaker to her family. She always had a special love for babies. She will be missed beyond measure by her family who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two infant daughters, Rhonda and Belinda Holder; two sons, Clifton Marcrom and Marlin “Buddy” Holder, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Agnes Holder; and a brother, Harry Lee Jernigan.
Survivors include six children, Vickie Finney and husband, Roger of Hillsboro; David Holder and wife, Terrie of Houston, TX; Diane Prince and husband, Ronnie of Alto; Lisa Rios and husband Rene of Manchester; Michael Holder and companion, Pam Schaffer of Hillsboro; Sean Holder and wife Lisa of McMinnville; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Marcrom of Waverly, TN; and Charles “Poon” Nobles of Manchester, who she thought of as her very own son; 30 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, Ella Mae Davidson of Summitville; Raleigh Jernigan and wife, Pam of Manchester; Lonnie Jernigan of Manchester; Mary Ruth Mullins and husband, Bob of Woodbury; Edna “ Nannie” Smith of Manchester; and Billy and Bobby Jernigan both of Biloxi, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Those wishing to do so may make memorial donations to Rose Hill Memorial Gardens to a memorial fund towards a headstone to mark the graves of Mrs. Holders deceased infant daughters.
